Whether you live in the Greater Toronto Area or find yourself in other corners of the world, we are here to help you design your dream home! We offer a virtual design package that includes 3D renderings and videos of the custom design we create especially for you, as well as a list of products sourced and materials needed should you wish to DIY!

Step 1: Complete Intake Form

By completing the intake form, we'll have a better idea of the space you’re looking to refresh and what you’d like to achieve with the new design. A member of the Maison Coutts team will connect with you to set up a half hour virtual consultation.

Step 2: Design Consultation

Kristen, the owner of Maison Coutts, will meet with you to get a better understanding of your personal taste and what you wish to change in your space. With our experience, the goal is to craft a unique design for your room that encapsulates the mood you have envisioned, within a budget that is comfortable for you. Once you’ve completed the call, we’ll ask you to send us detailed measurements of the space you’re looking to have re-designed.

Step 3: Mood Board

Based on your style and taste, we'll give you a first glance of a mood board with sourced furniture and décor items. At this point, we will ask for your feedback to help us hone in on your dream space. We'll incorporate this feedback and get your final package ready.

Step 4: Design Delivery

You'll receive a final package with the following items: 

• 3D video of your re-designed space 
• two 3D photo renderings of your space
• links for all design and décor items in your space (lights, rugs, bedding, etc.)
• materials list for any elements you may want to DIY in your space i.e. feature wall

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the virtual design package cost? 

We don't have a set price for this service - much like our in-person renovation services, there are a variety of factors to consider: the size of the space, what function it serves your home and family, whether you’d like just the one consultation at the beginning, or if you’d prefer an additional call once the design has been completed to walk you through the design suggestions and help you coordinate the execution plan.

You can expect the virtual design services to start around $1,500

What will I receive as part of this service?

The service includes a one-on-one consultation with the owner of Maison Coutts, Kristen, a mood board (digital collage that summarizes the overall mood, feel, and vibe of the project), and finally, a package with the following items: 3D video of your re-designed space, two 3D photo renderings, links for all design and décor items (lights, rugs, bedding, etc.), and a materials list for any elements you may want to DIY i.e. feature wall.

Can I make revisions?

The virtual design service includes a 'Mood Board' phase for you to give input on colour, style, fixtures chosen, etc. This is your opportunity to present your feedback and make changes. 

Once your design package is received, further revisions can be made at an additional cost. Our team can provide an estimate for the changes requested. 

I'd like additional 3D photos. Can I have more?

Definitely! As part of your virtual design package, you will be provided with a 3D video of your entire room, as well as two 3D renderings that feature two walls each. Additional photo renderings can be added to your package for $250 per image.

Who will I meet with for my virtual consultation?

You will be meeting directly with the founder, Kristen Coutts, for your virtual design consultation.

Once I receive my package, can I book you to execute the build?

Yes! We'd be happy to project manage your renovation. And since you would have already engaged in a service with us, we'll take 5% off the price of your renovation.

*Please note that booking Maison Coutts for project renovations is based on availability and that dates cannot be confirmed until a contract is signed.

How long will the virtual design process take from when I fill out the form to when I get my final package?

The process will typically take about 3 weeks, depending on how quickly we can book a consultation into your schedule and how soon you're able to give us feedback on options we've presented to you!
